This talk will cover some of the technical lessons of implementing a cost-effective massive on-chain game, including using sequences of block-hashes as a source of in-game randomness, and also the two main commercial lessons that halted development.

Scripless, carries the vision of reforming one of the greatest issues faced in all industries worldwide, moving from the outdated paper-based system to a new age of paperless world using blockchain technology – a distributed, secured and global platform that fundamentally changes what we can do online, how we do it, and who can participate.

Our first step into this paperless world is re-shaping the global logistics industry which has been very slow in adapting digital transformation for its paper-based documents – one of the core issues being the transfer of transport documents such as the Bills of Lading.
Scripless Smart B/L enables the seamless flow of creation, exchange and validation of authenticity of Bills of Lading documents.

The property of immutability makes it simple to determine the provenance of information recorded in the Scripless ledger. By checking the validity of the information recorded, one can completely nullify the issues of counterfeit and forging.

Even in our modern, speed-driven and globalized economy, 90 percent of everything still travels as it did almost 500 years ago by ship. That’s why the shipping industry remains the backbone of globalization.
With Scripless, we are make it safe, fast and transparent to take your goods from one part of the world to another.

There is a trend in Open APIs and data sharing to provide better and innovative services. Data regulations, including Australia's CDR, EU's open banking and GDPR, aim to improve consumers' privacy and control over their data through the right to provide consent to allow authorised third parties to access their information.

In this talk, we will present our collaboration of Swinburne and Capgemini with Data61 to provide framework and guidance for the application of building trusted consumer consent in open banking and other sectors. We will talk about technical feasibility, risks, and potential benefits of using a blockchain-based extension of New Payments Platform (NPP). It allows smart contracts to decide on conditional payments, where those smart contracts can also use CDR authorisations to access data through CDR APIs.

By providing the ability to create tamper-resistant data entries that cannot be redacted, repudiated, or disputed, Blockchain Data Management has sweeping implications across computer science, industry, and society: it allows us to be sure — for the first time — that a digital record cannot be tampered, backdated, or redacted. In this talk, we'll discuss how Blockchain Data Management is being used in Government, Finance and in other industries, and discuss the implications for the future.

Not every supply chain is the same. When you're deploying blockchain in supply chain it's important you only focus on a single industry at a time. The cannabis supply chain is particularly unique, but it makes sense for a lot of reasons. My talk will illustrate why.

Exploring the next phase of blockchain technology, the upcoming innovations that will drive the industry forward. Going beyond what we know as blockchain now and how it will progress in the future.

How blockchain and decentralised technology stacks will be the backbone to Web 3.

There will be no blockchain of blockhcains at least in the feasible future because of the unstoppable competition of technologies and ideas. Business and governments may experience problems in the choice of the framework. Any sort of exclusive "national" blockchain may put one technology in an exclusive position, which means centralization and monopolization (who would call it blockchain at all?). Instead, the governments should look into the direction of interoperability of blockchains and protocols that allows creating public registries across multiple blockchains and security standards. Therefore, the citizen, not the clerk decides which blockchain to use to manage the property rights. Fair competition of technologies based on freedom of choice is the reason for the principle of "technological neutrality." The Cross-Blockchain Protocol is the key answer for that specific issue.

    Abstract of the Talk:

    Why privacy is important?
Scalability - Where do we stand today?
    Current platforms and their offerings
    Challenges ahead
    Case study
    What next?

Blockchain is an emerging technology and just like any new technology, the success and adoption of Blockchain is predicated upon its scalability. With Blockchain, however, trust in consensus, immutability, efficiency, and permission is fundamental to the integrity and consistency of every Blockchain transaction, be it private, public or federated Blockchain. To make sure Blockchain maintains its properties, continuous testing that includes functional, security and performance testing is essential. Attendees should leave with knowledge of what type of testing is required to test Blockchain applications, challenges and what are some of the areas they should focus on when building Blockchain applications.
